Raipur trust takes up initiative to make physiotherapy more affordable
Hakimi clinic to offer sessions at ₹100 during November as part of Chhattisgarh Rajyotsav celebrations.
RAIPUR: For patients who require regular physiotherapy, the cost of treatment can sometimes be a concern. Addressing this, Hakimi Physiotherapy Clinic, run by the Dawoodi Bohra Charitable Trust, will offer sessions at ₹100 from November 1 to 30 as part of Chhattisgarh Rajyotsav celebrations. Consultation and diagnosis will be provided free of charge during this period.
The clinic was inaugurated by Member of Parliament Shri Brijmohan Agrawal on April 23 this year. Speaking at the inauguration, Agrawal had said, “The Dawoodi Bohra community has always been committed to service, goodwill and social upliftment. This physiotherapy centre will play an important role in providing affordable and quality healthcare to people in need.”
The clinic has provided physiotherapy services to more than 100 patients in the six months since its inauguration. Four physiotherapists are associated with the centre, which provides treatment for back and neck pain, sports injuries, joint and muscle conditions, and post-surgical rehabilitation. It also offers guidance on home-based exercises.
“Physiotherapy plays an important role in managing pain, restoring movement and improving a person’s ability to carry out everyday activities. Timely assessment and appropriate exercises can help patients make steady progress and reduce the risk of recurring problems,” said Dr Jumana Hussain, who works at the clinic.
The centre was established as part of the Dawoodi Bohra Charitable Trust’s community service initiatives, with the aim of making physiotherapy and rehabilitation services accessible at affordable rates.
The clinic is located on Sharma Road, near Bagdi Nursing Home, Bohra Masjid, Satti Bazar, Raipur.
